Art Basel Paris 2026 – France
Art Basel Paris is an international art fair bringing together leading galleries, artists, collectors, curators, museums and art professionals at the Grand Palais in Paris. The 2026 edition is the fifth edition of Art Basel Paris and presents an international selection of modern, post-war and contemporary art alongside emerging practices and historically focused projects.
The fair brings together 211 exhibitors representing 41 countries and territories. The exhibition is organized across three principal sectors: Galeries, Emergence and Premise. The main Galeries sector presents established international dealers and their artists, while Emergence focuses on emerging galleries and artists and Premise provides a platform for highly individual, historically oriented curatorial proposals.
Beyond the exhibition halls, Art Basel Paris connects with the wider cultural landscape of Paris through its Public Program. Major artistic projects are presented at museums, cultural institutions, gardens, squares and public spaces around the city. The program is designed to place contemporary art in dialogue with Parisian architecture, history and public space.

Visitors can expect a large-scale presentation of international modern and contemporary art, with galleries showing paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, video and other artistic practices. The fair includes established artists alongside emerging voices, giving visitors the opportunity to see different generations and approaches within a single exhibition environment.
The 2026 edition includes 183 galleries in the Galeries sector, 16 solo presentations in Emergence and 12 historically focused projects in Premise. There are also 32 first-time participants at Art Basel Paris, while six galleries are moving from Emergence into the main Galeries sector.

Venue & exhibition site
Art Basel Paris takes place at the Grand Palais, located on Avenue Winston Churchill in Paris. The historic exhibition building provides the principal setting for the fair and houses the different exhibition sectors, gallery presentations and program areas.
The Grand Palais is one of Paris’s major cultural and exhibition landmarks. Its large interior spaces allow Art Basel Paris to accommodate hundreds of international galleries while maintaining the architectural character of the historic building.
The exhibition layout is designed around the different sectors of the fair. The main Galeries area accommodates established galleries, while Emergence gives emerging galleries and artists a dedicated presentation environment. Premise occupies the Salon Seine, providing additional space for its historically focused projects.
The Grand Palais also provides accessibility services for visitors with reduced mobility. Visitors requiring specific assistance should consult the venue’s accessibility information before arrival.
Full exhibition programme
The Galeries sector is the central component of Art Basel Paris. It brings together established galleries from France and around the world and allows them to present the breadth of their programs. Presentations can include solo, duo and group displays, with works spanning twentieth-century masters, established contemporary artists, mid-career artists and emerging practitioners.
Emergence focuses specifically on emerging galleries and artists. The sector consists of 16 solo presentations, allowing each participating project to concentrate on an individual artistic practice rather than presenting a broader multi-artist gallery program.
Premise presents 12 historically focused projects. The sector is intended for highly singular curatorial proposals and can include works from earlier periods, including works created before 1900. Its move into the Salon Seine provides more space for these research-oriented presentations.
The fair is complemented by Conversations, guided tours and the Public Program, creating several ways to engage with the artists, galleries and ideas represented throughout the event.
Featured artists & designers
Art Basel Paris features artists across different generations and artistic disciplines. The 2026 program includes major names associated with painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and conceptual practices.
Tracey Emin is represented in the Public Program through monumental bronze sculptures presented by White Cube at the Parvis des Droits-de-l’Homme. Kennedy Yanko is presented at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine through a sculpture project curated by Matthieu Poirier.
Cosima von Bonin presents plush sculptures at the Petit Palais through a collaboration involving Petzel, Gaga and Neu. Kutluğ Ataman’s multi-screen video installation Küba is presented at the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Other artists featured through the Public Program and special projects include Simone Fattal, Yinka Shonibare, Niki de Saint Phalle, Marcello Maloberti, Manfred Pernice, Alicja Kwade, Lionel Sabatté and Keita Miyazaki.
Keita Miyazaki’s A Symbiotic Form combines recycled car parts with waterproof Japanese paper, while Simone Fattal’s Door is a monumental bronze sculpture. Yinka Shonibare’s Abstract Bronze VIII incorporates Dutch wax patterns into an abstract sculptural form.
Galleries & exhibitors
Art Basel Paris brings together 211 exhibitors from 41 countries and territories. The official exhibitor list includes more than 200 galleries, with more than 60 galleries operating spaces in France and numerous international participants.

Participants include galleries such as Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, David Zwirner, White Cube, Thaddaeus Ropac, Marian Goodman Gallery, Perrotin, Almine Rech, Mennour and many other established and emerging dealers.
The 2026 edition also includes 12 joint booths involving 24 galleries. These collaborations allow participating galleries to create presentations that connect artists, programs and different curatorial approaches.
More than 30 galleries at the fair are younger than ten years, while 32 participants are new to Art Basel Paris. This creates a mixture of established international gallery programs and newer participants.
Visitors interested in particular galleries or artists can consult the official Art Basel exhibitor directory before visiting. The directory organizes participants according to the fair’s different sectors.
